Tenth LEGION 10mm, US Tariffs and Colours Wargames show
This week, Tenth Legion is mostly US-centred, but there is a section at the end of the post for UK residents do so keep reading.
Yes, folks, it is time for all those yummy, wholesome Tariffs to come into play for all our US customers. This post is for all our customers across the pond who have orders in our system, or are thinking of placing an order, but are unsure about how it will work out. This might get a bit messy, but bear with me…
We have been working hard to get as many US orders as possible on their way before the August 29th deadline. The last batch of those orders that we can guarantee arriving Tariff-free have been sent. If your order in this group, you will have had an email confirming that is the case.
Any orders currently in our system will be subject to Tariffs when they are sent. In all these cases we will accept the charge on our customer’s behalf.
Any US orders placed from Today will be subject to a 10% surcharge to cover Tariff costs. The Tenth Legion cart will be updated shortly to automatically add the charge, but until that clicks into place, we will issue a manual request for payment.
There are some admin costs for all of this, but we are absorbing those.
As we understand how this works, all our US orders will be sent as ‘DDP’ – (Delivered Duty Paid,’ so it should clear customs without delay or further costs. However, as the whole system seems to have been cobbled together over a lunch break with the rules written in crayon on the back of a Cornflakes packet, we need to see how this all works in practice.
What we can say is that we will do our best to keep the service as cost-effective and as easy to follow as we can for all our US customers. This whole process has had Lindy glued to her computer trying to make sense of conflicting and frankly uninformative websites and posts. I swear that I’ve seen steam coming out of her ears…
Now to our UK customers. For some reason our site has been resisting attempts to update the forthcoming shows list. We are most definitely attending Colours at Newbury on 6th September. This has affected those of you wishing to place pre-orders for collection. You can do so by email, but the closing date for these will be close of business on Tuesday 2nd September.
