We've become strippers...
Hello All,
It’s been a little quiet from Tenth Legion of late. It’s not that we are shy or anything, just more that we are very busy working behind the scenes.
The Magister Militum range is packed full of wonderful sculpts and we are working to present these in the best way possible. One of the major changes that we are undertaking is converting the range from single castings to strips.

I get the impression that this is a little controversial from some of you, and yes, it is always tricky when something familiar is changed or altered. However, we think that this process holds huge advantages for our customers.
As you can see from the photograph, our aim is to put close order infantry on to 40mm frontage strips each of six figures. We know that this base size is very popular with 10mm gamers, but even if it doesn’t quite fit, the figures are every easy to part from each other with a pair snips or side cutters.
The strips make painting easier with one strip to mount rather than six individuals. They really come into their own when basing. Attaching say six strips to six bases is much easier than glueing and positioning 36 individuals!

And yes, this will work for cavalry, skirmishers and irregular figures as we can strip these in files rather than ranks, this giving you the flexibility that you need.
Now, it’s a huge task to apply this approach to every range, so this will be a continuing process. We will be concentrating on popular subjects such as Napoleonic French infantry (as in the photo), and any new or overhauled ranges will be produced in strips as a matter of course.
If any of you are attending the Colours wargames show this weekend, we’ll have some of the new strips on hand to show you exactly what this means in practice, plus some samples of the forthcoming new codes in the Crusades range, Just pop along to the Baccus stand upstairs and have a word. Yes, you will be surrounded by 6mm figures, but you will honestly be with friends
