WELCOME TO THE TENTH LEGION
Welcome to the Tenth Legion website, the new home of the Magister Militum range of 10mm historical figures. Our aim is to continue to offer this outstanding range of miniatures to wargamers and collectors worldwide and building upon this to expand and develop what is available.
Tenth Legion is run by the team behind the Baccus range of 6mm figures and products and we will be bringing the same high standards of quality and customer service to the 10mm ranges.
Please note that there are currently two catalogues running side by side. We are steadily processing the Magister moulds and adding ranges to the Tenth Legion catalogue, offering very clear and easy site navigation and photographs of all stock items. This is not a quick process however, and to ensure that the rest of the range remains available we are operating a ‘Legacy’ section which allows you to access the full MM collection, although the ordering process is a little more cumbersome.
19th Jan 2026 :: Highlanders two ways
One of the deciding factors in persuading this maker of 6mm figures to take on the Magister Militum 10mm ranges was that we shared a sculptor in common. Martin Baker has been a mainstay of the Baccus ranges for the best part of two decades and in that time has been behind most of our 6mm Napoleonic ranges. As it happens, he has also done the same in 10mm. This photo shows Napoleonic British Highlanders sculpted by Martin in both scales.

It also highlights why when I am painting Tenth Legion figures I find them to be HUGE, which must sound strange to those of you who are used to fielding the, ‘How can you paint something so small’ question about your 10mms!

Welcome to the first Tenth Legion post of 2026, and the first new-ish releases of the year! As I have posted previously, we are working on a methodical inspection and reorganisation of the Magister Militum range, and this time round, it is the turn of the Napoleonic British to get the treatment.

One thing that I do with Baccus every year is look back at what we did over the previous twelve months and attempt to put some sort of projected framework of what we would like to achieve in the coming year. I thought it would be interesting to see how a similar review would turn out for Tenth Legion. So, let’s give it a go.
